We run our cooperative production company in the heart of Gstaad. Here we process the milk from the approximately 3000 Simmental cattle that graze in our region. Most of our milk gets turned into cheese, just as people have been doing in Gstaad since time immemorial.

And the locals have been trading this cheese for just as long, because, thanks to our favourable microclimate, production has always exceeded regional consumption. Our cheese stands for superb quality and exceptional flavour and so has always been in high demand, far beyond the regional or cantonal borders. Our cheese made in Gstaad can be found throughout Switzerland, including in the assortments of major distributors, and occasionally even abroad.
Even though our cheese is widely distributed, we are actually a really small artisanal cheese producer on the national and especially the international level. We make all our products by hand using exclusively milk from local cows.
Our cows enjoy a genuinely pleasant and healthy life. Proud farmers also breed and keep proud cows. The most striking feature of our Simmental cows are their horns, a symbol of their ancestral dignity. Our mountain and high pastures have been extensively used for centuries, offer plenty of space to roam, and play an important role in biodiversity; the variety of grasses and herbs that grow there gives our cows' milk its exceptional virtues and characteristics.
Mountain cheese is produced in Gstaad according to traditional methods. And in the summer months, the incomparable alpine cheese is produced right on the Alps themselves. In addition, in recent decades we have carefully expanded our range of in-house productions to meet the high demands of our customers and high-end restaurants. As cheese makers, we are also very proud of this.
